Personality:

Even though Kayla is very friendly and wants to make friends, she is very shy, but she forces herself to forget that she is, in order to interact with people. She’s also a very enthusiastic person, but sometimes can have her downfalls and be a pessimistic. Kayla has a tendency to talk too much and interrupts people in conversations. Kayla is also very kind and tries helping people when she can. Kayla is affectionate with her friends and family. Kayla is funny and enjoys making jokes with her friends. She’s also not over critical about things and is lenient. Kayla tries to be independent, often to prove people wrong. Kayla is also stubborn and refuses to consider other people’s opinions or ideas.  She also has a tendency to jumps to conclusions and gets offended easily, by those she doesn’t know. An example of this is she assumes people think of her as inferior because of her blindness. She has a really short temper and yells at people when she feels they are at fault, for example she is not a morning person and hates when her little brother Carl wakes her up. As athletic as she is she still eats junk food too much and won’t even consider eating healthy things.

Kayla’s favorite pastime is saxophone playing, she does have other interests. She’s athletic and runs every day in her neighborhood either outside or on the treadmill. She is knows a bit of American Sign Language, so she can talk to Jacob. She also likes to write sometimes.
Kayla has a cat named Kitty G., named after her favorite saxophone player Kenny G. She plays and talks with Kitty G. sometimes.
Kayla’s interests includes music, especially Jazz. Her favorite musician is Kenny G... She’s a part of a lot of clubs: the bowling club for the blind and visually impaired, girl scouts and the music club at school. She enjoys reading and does it quite often.
